For 2014, I’m describing the things I’m putting into place for my next level of growth as Commitments – not resolutions, not goals and not intentions. That word resonates more with me. It’s about a declaration, followed by real action steps and a plan.
Feel The Fear & Choose Courage Anyway. Every Day.
Courage is one of our mental muscles. I also think about physical fitness when putting together a plan for mental muscle “workouts”:
- Focus on working towards MY best, not necessarily comparing directly to someone else’s progress
- Create a consistent, persistent plan the challenges me regularly but honors where I’m at today
- With all my various pursuits, I don’t want weakness in this area to hold me back or hinder me. It’s part of the “why” I take the time every day
